Comrades in A.R.M.S.
The Comrades in A.R.M.S. (AIDS Resources Management Services)
program provides low-intensity case management and support services
to clients that are infected by HIV/AIDS.
Services include:
- Advocacy for entitlement benefits, legal assistance, and medical
referrals
- Counseling on issues of death and dying
- Ongoing support services for children who have lost one or both
parents to AIDS
- HIV prevention education to at-risk participants and work with
community health workers to encourage HIV testing
- Early use of antiretroviral therapy for those testing HIV positive
- Mental health services
